Introduce of Viet Nam project

Idea of activity

We support children who have to give
up going to school, because of economic problem. [subsidy] |

and try to improve educational system of Vietnam. [improvement

Contents
of active
We have 2 projects: scholarship active and exchange program.
With these projects, we know about Viet Nam and think about
Japan again. Also we think what poverty is, what support is
and what kindness is.
We ask ourselves what we can do. |
scholarship program

We support children who has trouble to go
to school and has possibility to drop out from school. It had
been thinking from the beginning of JUNKO Association and started
1997. Now we support $770 to 5 school(about 39 students). In
summer we give "selection paper" (paper which is written
why you choose this student) to teacher and write it.
And spring we pay a home visit and research, next summer we
start to support.

Exchange program
This program started in 2001. Because we
thought, we want to know more, want to approach and want to
make good relationship with them. Vietnam is the Socialist Republic
country, recently government try to improve education at last.
But they couldn't improve except mainly subject for example
music, art and moral education yet.
We want to supplement this situation with our exchange program,
and want to bring out children's ability. We take elementary
school and Junior high school as an object of exchange program.

Elementary school::

we did some kind of game that uses
body. We made something with JUNKO school student. And
children draw picture "What do you want to be in
the future". Recently we did Japanese class or Japan
true and false quiz to introduce Japan. |

Junior High school::
|
|
Introduce Japanese culture.

A cooperator at
the Vietnamese actual place
Mr. Nguyen Van Phuoc
He knew early stage of activity of JUNKO Association at the
age of Da Nang university student, and He cooperated our activities.
He is the staff of an international NGO such as association
of Foster PLAN now. It severs busy work and still does very
big cooperation. |

Introduce of Danang
We are active in Danang which is center part
of Vietnam. Danang has 720,000people and there area of Danang
is 1200km. Ancient times they trade with another country frequently.
Sea and mountain surrounded Danand city, center of city Han
River flow.
They have much nature; on the other hand they have rail road
air port and big bridge which has beautiful illumination. After
Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh, Danang is the third city and government
give Economy First Grade to Danang city. Danang is lively city!! |
Junko Association
member's opinion about Danang.
「Lovers enjoy their time by the river. Nobody walk alone. They
wear old clothes and teeth are chipping but they had wonderful
smile. When we pay a home visit, we can't understand which family
member is, because they had good relationship with neighborhood.
They live back to back with each other」
Center part of city they have many motor bike, and walk a little
we can go beautiful beach. Time passes very slowly. Danang is
full of smile.
It is very unforgettable that children's smile, people who have
a pleasant talk at cafe in a day time and scene which many parents
wait for their children front of school rainy day. |
